Riverbend Commerce Park & Jacklin Site
Two higher-education institutions operate facilities within Riverbend to help tenants maintain a competitive edge. The University of Idaho has established a Research Park, which offers upper-division work and graduate programs. As it develops, the Research Park ultimately will furnish high-tech assistance comparable to that provided by the Research Triangle in North Carolina and Stanford University's Park in California. Additionally, North Idaho College maintains a Workforce Training Center at Riverbend, which provides lower-division offerings and technical assistance. The three Kootenai County school districts formed the Professional Technical Academy at Riverbend. The academy is designed to provide junior and senior students with real-life learning opportunities through academic and technical programs not already offered in the tri-district area.
In addition to sharing their skills and expertise, business owners also share an appreciation for Northern Idaho's quality of life. They have found this area to be an unhurried community with excellent public schools, strong family values, affordable housing and reasonable taxes. There is also no shortage of convenient shopping and entertainment opportunities. Northern Idaho is known as a thriving, recreation-minded community with outstanding golfing, hunting, fishing, hiking, boating and skiing only minutes away from residential neighborhoods.
